Welcome!

Thanks so much for checking out The Art is Found! Most of the information about this new concept of a challenge blog is on the right side. Questions about how it works? Just ask, I'd love to answer.
I've had this blog in my head for awhile now, I'm so excited to actually debut it! So, now to get on with it. The first prompt is:
Packaging!

So much packaging is wasted all the time. Now, it's your time to do something about it and with it. Think packaging on everything! Food, beauty products, scrapbooking supplies! It's soooo easy to do. It doesn't necessarily have to be new. Check out the thrift store(I always need an excuse to go thrifting). Most importantly, everything goes. Try it and have some fun.

(click on arrows to see all the pages)
In this mini-album I used tons of packaging. I used a vintage dress pattern envelope, Martha Stewart label packaging, the backs of stickers letters, old playing card box, stamp packaging, the clear backing for some MM embellishents. Totally easy!

On this layout I used Love, Elsie packaging and the little color pallette things on the end of Love, Elsie paper. (Sorry for the crappy pic).

Check back later for the lovely Rachel Denbow's Project. Don't forget to post your Art in the comments section! Thank you!

THIS IS AN AWESOME IDEA FOR A BLOG!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
Most of my scrapbook layouts use "found" objects but i love the idea of looking at trash differently and using packaging other than bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard!

Kudos - I'll definitely be playing along :)

I LOVE this concept! And I especially love the idea of using the packaging of products to create art. Because I don't really have tons of cash to spend on supplies all the time, so I like using what I already have, ya know? I definitely must do this!

Hi Kara, Came across your blog yesterday, and then linked myself onto your challenge blog, what a great idea! I will definitly be playing along, Im thinking of making a mini book out of packaging (For the first promt) and making each of your promts a new page . . . Will most promts be aplicable to a scrappage?

Your art is awsome! Im only 19, and people often look at me strange when I say a scrapbook for fun! hehe.

Keep up good work :)

Hey, Kylie!! Most all prompts will be applicable to scrapbooking. I love the idea of a mini-book, what a great idea! I know how you feel about the "cool" factor of scrapbooking, I just smile and say "and this surprises you, coming from me?". Scrapbooking is awesome. Can't see what you come up with!

Heya Kara,

Yeah, hopefully sometime this weekend I can find some time to make my mini book . . . I have it all planned in my mind, just have to sit down and actually put pen to paper (Just have to make sure I do before the recycling goes out! hehe)

And Also either set up a blog to post pictures or attempt to remember flickr password! lol

I actually had a friend say to me once after telling her I was going home to make a new layout ... "What will you be left to do when your older if you scrapbook, cross-stitch, photograph and sew now!?!" lol.
I did have to laugh tho :)

Hope you have a good day, and I shall post again once I have completed my cover to the mini book :) Keep up the good work!
